Our LogCastle

Experience our Canadian handcrafted log home in the beautiful woods of North Idaho.  We love the architectural style of chinkless double-diamond notched Douglas Fir logs and the many opportunities for outdoor recreation so close to the two local Universities. Our location is ideal for parents and relatives visiting university students or alumni and friends attending events at WSU or the University of Idaho such as football games, Mom's / Dad's weekend, Homecoming, and graduation.

The University of Idaho in Moscow is a mere 12 minute (7 mile) drive.  WSU in Pullman is 25 minutes (13.6 miles) away.  So with the universities so close you can easily enjoy all that each college town has to offer.  You will also have easy access to the many delights of nature on Moscow Mountain and the surrounding countryside.

We live on a private paved road located halfway up the west end of Moscow Mountain (3350 ft. above sea level).  Many species of wildlife can be regularly seen, including deer, moose, and turkeys.  Our house offers a wonderful view of the rolling hills of the Palouse, Paradise Ridge, and the city of Moscow.  A short hike up the mountain will give you a view of Pullman as well as, Kamiak and Steptoe Buttes.

Guests may access our 48 acres of pine forest right out the door. Hiking/biking trails crisscross the mountain, providing both smooth, easy slopes and some challenging dirt trails with access to the local mountain bike club's extensive trail system on Moscow Mountain.

We are always striving to improve our guests' experiences, so improvements are continuously made based on guest feedback.
